2022.7.21-22 "Petroleum Products and Supporting Test Method Standards and Implementation Meeting" was held in Ningbo. At the meeting, instructors from the Academy of Mineral Science explained new updates for national standard methods, such as "ethanol gasoline for vehicles", "Determination of sulfur content in petroleum and petroleum products", "Determination of flash point Pensky-Martin closed cup method" and many other test standards.

At the conference, PanAn Testing exhibited an automatic single-bath double-tube kinematic viscometer, an automatic multi-position Karl Fischer moisture analyzer, an automatic foam property analyzer and a Pensky-Martin closed-mouth analyzer.
CANNON CAV4.1 automatic single-bath double-tube kinematic viscometer, with 2 viscosity tubes and a 14 unit sample injection tray, has a faster sample measurement speed, which each viscosity tube has a viscosity range of 100 times. With the test temperature that can be ranged to 150℃, with integrated computer control systems, one instrument can complete the test procedure.

VISAYA FoamDDI automatic foam characteristic tester supports two test methods. One is foam characteristic test (ASTM D892, GB/T 12579) and the other is high temperature foam characteristic test (ASTM D6082, SH/T 0722). Compared with the traditional Karl Fischer, the minimum measurement value of the moisture meter is 20ug, however the ECH moisture meter can reach a minimum of 1ug, demonstrating its low-volume moisture measurement capability.
TANAKA APM-8 Pensky-Martin closed-cup tester adopts an integrated design. The flash point detection and temperature sensor stirring blade are assembled on a test rocker arm. It is convenient to add samples, while there is a large screen which displays the test progress. APM-8 is equipped with a triple self-protection function. The user only needs to set the expected flash point and the test can be done automatically.

In this meeting, the GB/T 261 "Determination of Flash Point Pensky-Martin Closed Cup Method" standard was also updated and publicized, and the latest GB/T 261-2021 standard was revised using ISO 2719:2016, TANAKA APM -8 Pensky-Martin closed mouth tester fully complies with the latest GB/T 261-2021 standard
